Is overthinking holding you back?

Are you waiting for the moon and stars to align before presenting your newest offering to the world? Perfectionism can be your worst enemy when you are trying to expand your mission and help as many people as possible.

Overthinking is holding you back and killing your creativity. Move past perfection so that you can reach as many people as possible. You have permission to move forward with good enough!

Recognize your stuck point

Last-minute details are often where we get stuck. We keep trying to make everything perfect. When you get in ‘the zone’ and have a sudden burst of inspiration and creativity you can knock out an entire project in an afternoon.

Then… after getting the bulk of the work done, do you sit around for weeks or months on end trying to perfect what you have done? So many amazing ideas never make it to market because they are waiting for someone to get over the minutiae. Don’t let this be you! Do you have a certain area that is your stuck point? Let me know in the comments!

What can you do to move beyond your stuck point?

So how can you deal with perfectionism and move beyond your stuck point? Can you delegate the rest of the work? VA’s are a wonderful resource that you can find on several different sites like Fiverr, Upwork, or even Facebook.

Would an accountability partner help? You could enlist a friend, your partner, or a family member to give you a deadline to finish your project. If you want to reach a wider audience and expand your mission then you have to move beyond your stuck point.

Can you live with good enough?

Sometimes in life, good enough just has to be good enough. Not everything must be perfect all the time. You simply need to recognize when this is the case.

Think about the time that you are spending trying to get something just perfect. How could you better spend that time? Could you be reaching more people by doing something else? If someone else can do a good enough job and you can reach more people in other ways, then it’s time to delegate.
